What Does Purple Feel Like?

Purple feels like velvet

Rich and soft and smooth

Blue feels like an ice cube

In your hand as it slips through

Red feels like a campfire

Heating the smile on your face

Orange feels like a hug

A best friend’s warm embrace

Yellow feels like sunshine

In the intense noonday

Green feels like grass

Fresh underfoot when we play

Blue sounds like a storm

Coming in with rushing wind

Red sounds like an I love you

From a very special friend

Purple sounds like a cello

Deep and smooth and clear

Green sounds like a forest

And all the creatures living there

Orange sounds like a choir

When they all sing in tune

Yellow sounds like a sweet goodbye

From a friend who’s leaving soon
